Volvo has joined green and jumped on the train. What it does is that it has already created, manufactured and shipped in new vehicle models that can be used using alternative fuels that are not harmful to the environment. The brand has been able to create a reality not only the quality of Volvo V70 pieces for the market, but has also created a green and environmentally friendly vehicles. In fact, at present Volvo has nine vehicle models and three of these nine vehicles are already available as bio-ethanol powered vehicles. These three vehicles are the Volvo C30, S40, V50 and. All these three are marketed in Europe and use engines with four cylinders.
Magnus Jonsson is the senior vice president of Volvo Cars & 39; research and development team. For this, he said, " Flexifuel we believe has great potential for larger engine sizes and we are thinking of expanding our range of bio-ethanol engines power in the coming years ".
However, this is not green when the madness ends. You see, Volvo has also created a new concept vehicle and what they call the Volvo XC60 concept vehicle. This concept is used to power a car that has the same six-cylinder engine that the use of bio-fuel vehicles of the mark. This engine is actually a line in gasoline engine that was already used by the Volvo S80 ago when he left in 2006. This very engine has the ability to really give power to the concept car, even if you put in E85, which is actually the term used for fuel that is composed of 85 percent bio-ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.
Combining the power of E85 and the engine can then work up the Volvo XC60 concept car so much that can vroom up to 265 horsepower and some 251 pounds feet of torque. In fact, Volvo states that have been able to register the vehicle to zoom in from zero to sixty seconds in 8.2 seconds.
